IRRIGATION TAX

This is one of the main tax rates of the historic funding system of the irrigation of the “horta” alluvial agricultural gardens of Valencia. This tax is paid by the owners of the various plots, in order to pay for the costs of maintenance of the system. In the case of the Royal Irrigation Canal of Montcada the irrigation tax was not the only one imposed.
