COURT

Judicial body of the Royal Irrigation Canal of Montcada presided over by the chief irrigation officer together with two trustees, as in some of its basic functions in the Court of the waters. His role is to listen, discuss, and judge the lawsuits and minor disputes among the commoners. Today the Court is located in the Common House of Montcada, but formerly its duties were carried out in different religious buildings in the villages, the home of the Dispersion Dam, or singular places along the main canal.
