The Massamagrell ravine is last relic of the well-known streams of the “Moliner” (Miller). Previously, this stream had a surface area of approximately 18 km² that consisted of a basin between the municipalities of Nàquera, Montcada, and Museros. Its riverbed runs through spaces of ancient drylands converted into irrigated fields and dedicated to the cultivation of citrus.

The adobe retrofits have resulted in reducing the irrigation section of the ravine bed, as well as the replacement of the natural banks by other concrete walls. From a certain point, downstream of motorway roundabout, the ravine bed, which keeps the reconditioning of its concrete banks, appears full of citrus crops. The approximate length of the ravine bed is 5800m from its origin — in the territory of Náquera — at an elevation of 180 meters abouve sea level, until its disappearance, in contact with the Vereda de Sogorb, in the territory of Museros, at an elevation of 50 m above the sea level.  Surpassed by the Canal of Montcada, the ravine bed disappears such that only fragmentary lines of vegetables give us insight into what was its path until, overcome the old N-340 road in Massamagrell, the bed reappears again under the name the Barranquet. Despite its short length, in episodes of heavy rains in the fall, it is able to direct significant amounts of water. When, in the past, these waters exceeded or destroyed the fluvial beds of the Royal Irrigation Canal of Montcada, they caused severe flooding in Museros, and especially in Massamagrell, where the flooding of 15 October 1908 and on 28 September 1949 left a trail of destruction and, even, of loss of human lives.
