The characteristics of the soil are determined by a number of physical features, such as depth, texture, structure, porosity, density, and water coefficients; for some chemical features, which are specified in values such as the content of carbon in organic matter, calcium, pH, soluble salts etc.; and biological properties such as soil microbial activity and related processes (processes of humification and mineralization of organic matter, biological fixation of nitrogen, hydrolysis, solubilisation of minerals, etc.).
