From the piedmont, where the diversion dam of the irrigation channel is located, up to the marshes of the coastal plain, the soil evolves and demonstrates its features, characteristics, and distinct properties. Some of these features are specific to the vegetation that has developed there. Moreover, the introduction of irrigation system, the evolution of production models, the extraction of natural resources, etc., are all factors that have shaped and characterized the nature of most of these soils. In the realm of the Royal Irrigation Canal of Moncada there have been identified a good diversity of soils, most of which are rich in carbonates. Of all of these, those that best define the agricultural area are the fluvisols, although they can also identify others as calcisols, regosols, and luvisols.
